well ive sourced an engine and gearbox for my sick motor.
Just need to sort the logistics for how to get my car from tunbridge wells to canterbury (45 miles)

anyone got any good (read cheap) ideas?

It's a bit outside in wingham.
The guy selling the engine happens to run a garage and is happy to do me the swap.

where do you work in canterbury? i lived there for 20 years

I live in Deal and if I fancy the scenic route from work, end up driving through Wingham. Currently work in Wincheap (Howdens Joinery) designing kitchens.

Flippin' hate trying to get from one end of the city to the other!

breakdown probably, doesnt need towing though, i just drove it 2 miles at 5 mph (dont care if it ****s the enigne i'm getting a new one )

engine and gearbox bought for £250, he's going to come and pick it up, do the engine and gearbox, cambelt and water pump, clutch if needed for £450

i are a happy bunny!

bugger me thats a bloody good price and deal mate!!!

was going to say that Ash and i towed the marea from gatwick to mine on a fixed towbar with a Ash's 1.6. the mareas got a well and truely dead engine and we had to get jump leads run from his install to the batt so i had lights in the marea! was alot of work with no servo assisted breaks or powersteering mind!
