hey guys, getting the new punto in a few days so im already thinking about audio.

atm i have a pioneer sub mounted in a custom ported box. it's big ugly and the mises wants some space back, im done with making boxes now anyways., just want something thats nice and dont take the whole boot.

the idea about getting a vibe blackair sub crossed my mind, they look nice and they are pretty deep so i am looking into something like that.

i will also be buying a new amp, want something small enough to fit under the passenger seat, stealth style.

anyone got a few suggestions on what to get? so much choice!

The punto has a solid back seat that you can mount the amp. As for something less space consuming it depends on you budget.
The Vibe Lite Air wouldnt be my first choice but they are so thin its hard to deny they have a purpose.
Pioneer do a fairly flat sub, as do JL and i think Massive Audio do too. It all depends on your budget though. There has been a massive explosion of companies sing nano technology to make really tiny amps and flat space saving subs.

cheers stu.

not really sure on the buget really, i was thinking of the vibe CBR Evo or something, not really the lite-air.

i only want to spend around £150 on a used one. i still have my pioneer TS-W308D i can mount in a pre-made box till i pickup a new one.

i wanted to steer away from mounting the amp in the boot, i fugred under the seat its out the way. we have the active sport and doesnt have blue&me so there is no module under there.

None of that is particularly space saving lol. I dont like vibe and i especially dont like inphase.

Give me a couple of days and ill see what i can get on your budget. I hope i can find a good sub and custom enclosure. Then just bolt the amp to it.

they dont seem that big, i measured them. my custom box is bigger than that. the size of the 12 inphase i can live with.

dimensions are

  • Height: 450mm
  • Width: 475mm
  • Depth: 327mm
its about right with the width, quite tall but better to be taller than wider. i have to check to make sure the height will fit. i am looking for around 300RMS @ 4Ohm. dont really need more then that.
