I read a post possibly a few weeks ago, that the wiring loom in all the Bravo's are the same, it's just the different specs use more/less wires dependant, eg. wires for the electric mirrors to be used in the higher spec but in say the 80sx etc, they were never used but were still there!
Right so this leads me on to my question, my seats are looking a bit Sh1te to say the least an thought rather than pay full whack for new ones or have them re trimmed, say if i could manage to salvage some of the heated leather ones from a scrappy or other sourse, would i be able to -plug-an-play- so to speak the seat into the connectors in the loom and they would work, or am i living a pipe dream trying to convert my 1.2 into the hgt?

Any info would be greatly received as i really could do with replacing these .

In theory they should work, you may also need to add a fuse here or relay there for such things but the loom should be there, have a look under the coin holder between gearnob and handbrake, i have my neone running off the loom that is for electric mirrors and the one for seats is also around there some where

Cheers Sy, just hoped u could have been that little more sure as whether it would work or not. As i don't fancy forking out if theres the possibility it wont work ah well things are sent to try us all. I'll prob still give it a go, soon as i get coin together, You'll find out whther it went to plan or not as i'llpost a pic of either two scenario's 1) I tidy looking Bravo with new leather seats or 2) A Half burnt out Bravo with some lad looking p155ed throwing a can of petrol over lol

leather seats are like gold dust, only more expensive.

Chances of you finding a set in the scrappie are very slim.

I would say yes it'll work but not having done it myself........i won't lol, Have a look through the haynes manual for chair removeal it should tell you where the looms are for sur ethen, Get a tester and see if they are live if not, find the fuse check that or put one in then see if it's live, If it is your there! apart from the seats

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Long shot in the dark but...

Heated seats are tempermental mind.
Mine went after less than 20,000 miles and the repair bill would've been either £200 or £400 can't remember which now.
Luckily it was still under warranty.

Best of luck anyway.

John.

unfortunately, mine are the same, the drivers one doesnt work, yet the passenger one does. no-one ever sits in the bloody passenger seat so it seems a bit pointless. still, to have even one working on an 80k, 8 yo car is an achievement!
