fcuk fcuk fcuk....lol
gone to check brakes and no key for wheels!!!anything i can do??
cant locate key anywhere and am fcuked.
cant garages just crack them off and i replace them with new ones??

help

generally you just drill into them and wind them out with a tool.

You could do it yourself but you need a good drill, you need to get down the middle else you risk damaging the thread on the hub.

A garage will do it but it will take them a while and at £25+ per hour it could cost you a bit.

i know friends have had theres removed, but didnt involve drilling them out??? but they live on other side of country :(

Which type are they?

I managed to get mine off by smacking a snap on socket over them, then undoing them.

3 of them are slightly bigger and 1 is smaller..looks like they have attempted to remove that wheel before(looks like a 17mm socket, but i aint got that one..lol)

You may be better of going to your local tyre fitters and asking them then.

By the time you fork out for a decent socket, you won't save much money and there is no guarantee that you can get them off...

Daz

They should work, but didn't you say yours were 17mm? ;)

lol..yeah one of the bolts on the front wheel is...but that looks like a normal nut. the other wheels though are of a larger size than the standard bolts :)

not really sure what size the standard bolts are?? dont suppose you know by chance. on 1.8 hlx-standard fitted alloys

Sorry no...i had alloys on the car when i bought it...

local garage have offered to remove em for £15 , i say thats a bargain, cheers for all the response :) just have to sort this dodgy handbrake light out now :)

find a socket that is slightly to small bash it over the locking nut with a hammer then turn simple

rather just pay some else to do dirty work :) i know this is off topic, but this is my thread anyways...lol
can anyone tell me which light comes on when the pads/shoes need replacing. 1.8hlx mk 2. cheers

Pads only, no detector on the shoes.

ITs the light that looks like the handbrake one but isn't the handbrake one.

lol..now u lost me mate.. i can only see 1 light that looks like handbrake one..lol
and thats the handrbrake one..lol
can you elaborate where it is mate.(looking very worried now)lol
