I have a set of locking valve caps but no fitting instructions. They are a silver coloured outer with a brass/copper threaded insert inside which is lose to move up and down but does not come out. There is a threaded hole in the side of the silver, outer casing and a one off small tool which screws into the hole. Does anyone have a set of these and know how they are fitted? Are you supposed to use the tool to squash the insert against the valve? If so how do i remove them when i want to pump the tyre up?

Any ideas appreciated!

Dont they sit on the valve then you allen key a little grub screw into the threaded hole

Re: Re: Locking Valve Caps

i havent got any grub screws. just a little tool to screw in the holes

Re: Re: Re: Locking Valve Caps

Does the outer part of the valve cap spin freely?
While looking in the hole spin it and see if the grub screw is on the inner part of the cap, I had some and that's how they fitted, other than that i'm out of suggestions

Re: Re: Re: Re: Locking Valve Caps

Ah your a genious! the tool goesin to lock the inner and outer parts together then, when their in you take the tool out which means the cap can spin freely and not be removed!!!!

Cheers!!!
