Hi,
i have a fiat seicento and got a punctured tyre so called out kwik fit to come and replace it, however when they arrived he said that i was missing a lock nut and key so he could not remove the wheel and therefore ouldnt replace the tyre!!!!
I dont know much about cars, so can anyone tell me what he means? what part do i need to find? and where can i find it?
thanks

I am going to assume you are not the original owner of the car. That being said, the person who owned it before you decided to put lock nuts (one per wheel usually) on that car to prevent people from steeling the rims. The only problem is that when the car was sold, they did not provide you with the special socket required to take the lock nuts off. You can not just go out and buy the one that will fit it so here is what you do. Go to an exhaust shop and tell them that you need them to weld a standard lug nut onto your lock nut. (make sure they are really careful) once you do this you can have them remove the welded lug as if they were changing the tire. The lock nuts will come off and you can get a set of non-locking lugs. This is the cheap way to do this. (its even cheaper if you have a friend that has a welder and can do it for you.)
