Guys....need some help please.
I have a 2020 Doblo Sportivo and have decided to install the Valeo light on/off system, on to her. I've used this system prior on GTV with great success however i have hit a huge stumbling block on the Doblo.
The system is pretty straight forward, there is a switchable photo cell which attaches to the windscreen, then you run 2 wires to each dipped beam headlight, then 2 wires to each side light (due to having running lights these wires were run to the rear side lights) plus some internal wiring like ignition live, battery live and earth.
So the idea is that when it's dusk/dark the lights switch on and when its light they turn off.
The issues i'm facing are the following:
The system works well apart from the following which do not illuminate when the system is activated:
1. License plate lights
2. Centre console illumination (Heater controls)
3. Dashboard "lights On" warning
4. Top rear side lights
So i thought to do away with the wiring that i have already done and connect via a relay on the cables coming from the column switch simulating the on/off switching action of the lever. Even though i disconnected the battery, removed the steering column cowling and cut into the loom to reveal the wiring, i was unable to identify the correct wires using a simple continuity test.
Can anyone be of assistance please
Thanks in advance
