Lighting Fault after Read Light Conversion

Hi

I've tried changing the lights on an 08 Grande Punto. I used Evo lights (2011).

I have cut the loom - and wired them - I have tried every combination but am still getting the following faults.

Indicator - activates the brake light aswell - although it's very dim - the tail fillament of the bulb.

Brake - activates the indicator light aswell.

Everything is pointing to a short but I can't see anything that would be causing it...

Anyone any suggestions?

I have only tried to change the one light so far... possibly a faulty unit?

The original lights work fine - when re-connecting - could this mean the earth fault is within the lighting unit?

Quite possible, I've seen some appalling quality on aftermarket lamps. Try connecting the lamp then run a wire to a good earth point such as the tailgate striker and see if that makes any difference.

common enough to upgrade rear lights on GP's, - headlights too ( BUT Expensive)

BUT I think the EVO are LED's..,
sure GP section will have the info you need,
