Hey Multi Fans. I have a 06 (Yes, slightly worse looking facelift) 1.6 petrol (Yes, dog slow, very thirsty, but drives like a dream) Multipla. One fine sunny day (As we get often here in SA) I reached over to the left (Passenger) side to put the sun visor down, and ended up with the whole thing in my hand. It just broke off. So I'm off to the local dealer with my sunvisor under my arm. As I walk in the guy behind the parts counter says:"New shape Multipla, left side sun visor...". I confirm, and the guy proceeds to write the 40 odd character part number without even referencing the parts catalog. It turns out that although they probably sold less than 100 Multi's in the country, this guy has to order this part so often that he knows the part number already. Is it just me or was this a design/manufacturing defect? Has anyone there in Europe experienced this? I'm getting ready for the inevitable fight when the part arrives from Italy and they hand me the bill.

Thanks, The dealer just phoned me to say the part has arrived. I'll keep u informed.

Mine was replaced by Fiat when I purchased as a used approved 2004 1.9JTD, 40 000km, lasted about 2 months before breaking again. I removed the 2 pieces and screwed them together with a thick self-tapping screw, this still allows it to swivel. Fine for 6 months plus now.

So it does not seem like it's a general problem then. I must have gotten a lemon. Fitted my new one, although it was the wrong part. It had the vanity lights in the mirror which the original 1.6 does not have. Cost me R450.

I could not find the wiring to power it though. Does anyone know if my 1.6 would have a plug for this light in the roof?
