Technical LF lower ball joint loose

As the title says the ball joint has come loose in the lower control arm.

I have a replacement, however this is the second time this has happened on this car. Can the lower control arm be modified to take a new ball joint, Actually I think the B/Joint is okay, except that it has worn in the housing.

I am told weld is not acceptable here, however it seems to me if the control arm could be built up with weld and ground or machined back to size it would take a new ball joint and be good again. :bang:

You can have the ball joint reconditioned if you want. Call Bricon engineering. However new arms are pretty cheap.

There were some very poor quality arms around a while ago, maybe you got one of them.

Yes, just on $100.00 including courier from Mal.
I imagined these would be getting hard to get items so I was thinking about getting it refurbished so I had a spare.

It would be good to have a spare for both sides. I have one for the right, but gave away my spare for the left!
