Guys?! I've finally found the right place.

So... i bought my Bravo a week ago, W reg, 63k miles, 1.2 sx, full service and recent M.O.T's, with reciepts for new exhaust and shockers. But the exhaust has already been sounding alittle bit throaty. Can you guys suggest any reasons for this i.e. the crappy ENGLISH weather. And also when i start in the morning in the cold, it dosnt turn over properly so i have to stick the accelerator to the floor.

Any suggestions welcome thankyou. (Watch this space for the next Bravo Stealth Street Racer.

Cheers Guys, Bravo_boi

you need to check for leaks on the exhaust. i would firstly check the flexi pipe in front of the cat, that often gets damaged when fitting a new exhaust. feel for any leaks with your hand.

when you say it doesnt turn over properly, do you mean the starter motor turns slowly? or does it turn over ok but it work start unless you use the accelerator?

Yer i have to use the accelerator, but it starts as if its on then if i dont apply acc it dies.....? The cars only 6 years old....

sounds like the fuel rail operating pressure is taking too long to be achieved, possibly due to a blocked fuel filter, or a dirty fuel system, or a worn fuel pump. definately worth changing the fuel filter and using plenty of redex for the next few days, just overdose the fuel tank with redex, i usually use a bottle in quarter a tank of fuel.

the fact that it starts and then dies if you dont accelerate means its almost certainly fuel related. but i'd still try changing the spark plugs and ht leads if they havent been done recently because that can often solve problems like this.

Cheerz Jug, I'm gonna try cleaning them, then if that doesn't work, Il will buy some more. (y)
