Led lights come on on there own ?????

My girlfriends mini cooper s Jcw has just changed its side lights and number plate lights to white led but when car is turned off they come on and off on there own ?????? Any ideas folks

put small resisters in them or get can bus ones... on new cars there is always a curcuit running extremely low volts to things like this and LED will every now and then turn on with it.

im guessing when she unlocks the car the numberplate lights up... so it will be that curcuit thats always slightly open.

the stilo does it with its interior lights when the car is off.

Thanks I shall give it a go but if it does not effect the battery to much it looks pritty cool when u set alarm,number plate flashes then every 30 secs side lights and number plate dim on then off!
