I'm hoping someone can help with some info - I've got a 2001 Petrol 1.6 Multi which has a failed Coil Pack.

I've changed the Coil Pack (easy job), and I've replaced the HT leads (new) in the order they came off the old coil. However, I notice that the Coil Pack is embossed with numbers 1-4 (running from the 'top', ie nearest the windscreen), but the HT leads from the old Coil did NOT follow in that order.

Can someone confirm in which order the HT leads need to be connected to the Coil?

Thanks!

Roger

Does it run in the order of 1342 on the coil its self are numbers and if u look doen the head there are some more post witch way they are a pic would be helpfull

Thanks for getting back - the HT leads run into the coil as follows (from 'windscreen' end to front of car) - 3,2,4,1.

Does that look correct?

Thanks.

3241 is correct as lookin at a petrol 2000 plate as I writein this where did u source the leads from as when I had my 1.6 witch I blew up. I had to sorce a new set from motor spare that had to be shiped in as long as the car is not miss fireing it is ok and runs ok there is no problem

Thanks for confirming the correct order - peace of mind!

As an aside, I sourced the coil pack and HT leads from Euro Car Parts and they were ready the same day (along with air filter, pollen filter and spark plugs).

Seems a good service....:)
