Ive read a few threads about the symptoms that can occur if the Lambra sensor needs sorting. Thinking this was the answer to my problem I disconnected it and it seemed to sort the problem but as soon as the car got warm again it started losing power!! Its been fine untill I nearly ran out of petrol so I thought it was just gunj in the pipes so have used Redex but still happening !!! Do I have to take it to some Fiat garage to be charged a load of money for something that can be fixed?!?!?

Use a genuine Fiat Lambda sensor and get an independent to fit it. But its not a massive job so Fiat should not cost you too much.

But why has it failed? Needs a mechanic who knows his stuff so avoid the cowboys.

i have read up a bit and i have no idea if its ever been replaced in its 90000 miles history plus the exhaust isnt in the best condition and i have read about co2 emissions etc. not a mechanic just trying to be logical?!Fiat will charge loads to plug it in. just looking for a few tips so i can be more proactive.
