Hi,
Any help with the following would be appreciated.
I drove my wife's GP a few weeks ago and noticed it seemed to be lacking power, and the fuel economy has gone down around town (she used to get around 45mpg but now gets around 32mpg). Yes I know it's only a 1.2 and will never fly, but it feels a little sluggish and lumpy when you drive it.
The car has had a service - oil, all filters and spark plugs. This has had no change.
Today I connected a ELM 327 code reader to check for codes - nothing stored. I checked the lambda sensor readings and one seemed to bounce about a bit ............
Engine at normal temperature and contant 40 mph -
Bank 1 sensor 1
Between 0.095v and 0.725v
Bank 1 sensor 2
Between 0.6v and 0.7v
I know the second sensor is not used for adjusting the air / fuel mix, but is it normal for the first one to jump around so erratically when sitting at a contact speed ?
Thanks in advance for any ideas.
