Hi there,

My Bravo 1.2 16v developed a strange issue. I failed last MOT due to high CO value and fuel residue.
My mechanic replaced faulty cat and lambda sensor but values are still on high side. Strange enough engine runs fine and fuel consumption is normal.
It looks like ECU is ignoring lambda sensor, engine runs the same with lambda disconnected. Dash control light goes and remains off after engine start.

Any ideas?

Is your car the older version with a separate Cat and single lambda sensor, or the later type with integrated manifold / cat and 2 x lambda sensors?

I have the later tyoe and in the past I had problems. The ECU developed a fault on one of the lambda channels and it needed to be repaired by a specialist. There should be error codes stored in the diagnostics if something is wrong internally or externally.

Also with mine there was an air leak at a crack in the manifold / cat downpipe... it was upstream from the second lambda sensor so it was making it give a bad reading to the ECU (air leak gives weak mixture reading...)

It's an older model with single lambda. As far as we can see there is no false air entering manifold. Like I said engine is running fine. OBD is another story. It seems no one has working vintage device capable to readout this ECU.

1.2 16v '99 in not on list of supported vehicles :bang:

I can see it.. along with hundreds of other 3-pin ECU's

PLEASE NOTE: The modules in red are NOT supported by the FREE version! You can connect to these modules with the FREE version, but after successful connection the program will only show the Info screen and the following message: FREE VERSION RESTRICTION / This module requires REGISTERED version! / You can run it in 'simulation' (CTRL+F10) mode only!
If the connection is not successful then you will see another message.

 don't understand..:)

are you saying that the 50EURO FULL MES does NOT work with the 1.2 16V engine ECU's..??

NO i'm confused by 3pin option marked red. Only way to sort this out is to order these and test the software
