General Knock sound from rear of car

Hi there!

So, when I go over a speedbump or down one of England's MANY pothole's,I get a knock sound coming from the rear of the car). Any idea's on what it could be?

Might be your exhaust banging against the cross beam - common enough problem.

had a similar problem on mine and found it to be an incorrectly fitted rear exhaust box, the suspension bar kept hitting it as the box had been set too close. also a creaking noise could be heard when pulling away at road junctions. This all stopped when i repositioned the box .Simply undo the retaining bracket on the pipe joint and move the rear box assembly back one inch....worth a try.
