General key cut,can you get a key tuned up other than fiat dealer?supplied me with two

came to use it after a few weeks and it is the wrong key?? took it back to dealer said it would be three days .can other firms code and cut a key

Hi Toyota23, None that I've come across.........a few cut the keys, but the transponder coding is normally a dealer job.

Got key off Fiat dealer came to parts desk got my key.they got me another fold up one because of their fault in providing me with a wrong key on a new motor,said it would need programming to my car ,mechanic took my key and coded it to my car .he also printed out the code for me and told me if I broke down the aa man can prog you a key at the side of the road,

Also I checked with our local locksmith he said he can code me a transponder and cut any key but he would need the code.Last year
my daughter lost the code on her renault megane could not find the spare key,i took her to the Renault dealer in Bolton
check this out he said he would have to send the key to france to be coded.when I stopped laughing he said renault would not let them have the equipment!!!! but you are the renault UK dealer!! any way we phoned the AA who came and coded the chippy thing
he said it won't say renault on it but it will start your car ,cost me the daddy I think it was 70 quid

YES, £70 to £80 seems to be the going rate - BUT you normally need the CODE,

i've just discovered my local Tesco now has a "timpsons booth" in the carpark = apparently they charge @£40 ,
so I'll have to test them..!!,
