Styling KC3 Project Silver

Styling KC3 Project Silver

Today i found a guy who molds fiberglass and was asking if he could manufacture a new bonnet, rear bootlid and any other panels for the B. He said it shouldnt be a problem and so later in the future i will more likely have made a new fiber bonnet, rear boot lid and possibly the rear roof cover panel. It should shed some weight and i would like to add some air vents to the front bonnet to help cool the turbo.

can anyone photoshop a few pics of my B with some vents in the bonnet in appropriate locations. many thanks. (y) would be nice to see how it might look.

Hey KC,

do your roll bars / roll hoops have "Barchetta" painted on them? Any chance of a better picture? Where did you get them form?

New mod looks great, was thinking about getting this myself (as it matches my steering wheel) http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/product/products_id/6593.html

EDIT: it's ok, I found your earlier post (http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/product/products_id/6593.html) Too expensive for me!

Going to revive my thread as i,m looking into getting the Turbo on soon.

Spoke with some Alfa/ Fiat specialists here in Cyprus who have played around with modding some of their cars. Its two young brothers and their father who run the garage. One brother owns a highly tuned fiat coupe turbo, and the other a highly tuned fiat punto gt with a turbo conversion.

Speaking with them about my proposed Turbo modification and its 200bhp output, they told me it would be great but the B's gearbox would suffer. This could be overcome by replacing it with Lancia's integrali's one, which aparently bolts straight on. The gear ratios would be much better suited and the performance should be alsome.

I,m going to look into this some more, but if anyone knows if this is true or can be done please let us know.

Installed a 12row oil cooler yesterday,
should help the B run smoother with all this extra heat here in Cyprus and one step closer to the Turbo mod. :D

For this modification, youl need

1x 12row Oil cooler
1x Sandwich Plate and necessary adaptors
2x 10bar Oil Hose

Also replaced the metal strip/bar that holds the Rad in place, they tend to go rusty very easy, most B's ive seen have this problem, Not much rain here so thats the end of that problem too.. :)

I do agree that subtle mods. Less is more! but the B does suffer with alot of engine heat under the bonnet, finding a way to get it out would bennifit her,
with the proposed turbo mod i think i might need them,

I'd make sure it was done in a smart and tastefull way. (y)

Very true, and function should rule over aesthetics. If you don't fancy cutting holes in your bonnet, try to channel the air from else where (
