Picking up a 59 plate 100hp next Tuesday. Not even driven one but sure it will be right up my street..

Hope the ride is not too harsh :-(

Looking for some rev free fun on the morning school run & commute...

Anything specific I should check when go to pick up?

I'd try and remove the grin and feeling of elation. Take your sensible hat. Look generally. Also take a nice piece of paper with a list of items for you to check. I say this cos I always forget:

Service book
Tyres
Wheels (not scuffed)
Radio works
Wipers
CLIMATE CONTROL WORKS
Check boot for jack, locking wheel nut set
Spare wheels

I'd suggest you drive it around for a number of miles before shedding out money. Make sure no lights come on, no rattles, no steering vibration at speed.

Going back to the dealer compalining after shelling out will be much harder.

If there are some 'quirks', depending on seriousness, either walk away or get the price down. Oh and NEVER look enthusiatic. You must act nonchalant and disinterested.

Also check for the spare key, basically poke and prod everything to make sure it all works,a 59 plate should be nearly new.I can guarantee that you'll love the drive home !

Well I picked up a 100hp today. Not the one I reserved though. After reviewing the MOT it was advisory for inner wheel rim damage and tyres were over worn on the inside so I suspect it had hit something (speed bump or Kerb) pretty hard. Also the key fob did not work to unlock and the garage tried to give me £60 off for a £200 job at the dealer. Needless to say I walked away. Ended up with an 11 plate with 6000 miles. Immaculate and is a hoot to drive. It will do mostly school run and short trips to work so should suit the Panda down to the ground. Gear change is sweet!! No Bluetooth though :-(. Though it was standard?

Welcome to the exclusive world of 11 registered white Panda 100hps....

I was also disappointed with no Bluetooth, but it's not a big deal. Is yours the one with the roof bars from Autotrader?

Tyres - we've had ours from new - on the front it wears the inner of the tyre.

Wheels - potholes and 45-section tyres. We flat spotted the nearside front and rear..........it happens.

Wonderful car - however, when you drive your other cars you'll be punching their dash, looking for eth gearstick, cos it's somehwere funny!
