General Just Had My Head Gasket Changed

Hi, the head gasket went on my 1999 Mk1 punto, so i had it changed for £300.

I got it back, and it fine apart from onw thing;

When i put my foot down, there will be no power, and then after about 2~3 seconds, it will kick in. Its worse in 1st gear, but does it in all from time to time.

Any ideas what it could be?

That's just what you need when pulling out of junctions eh? Take it back to whoever did the Head gasket and ask them to check it. Might be something simple like disconnected vac pipe or similar
