My 80k 2004 JTD ELX Multipla had been playing up for a few weeks by engine stopping at trafiic lights, plus non starting (but cranking over) at times, with it eventually starting after 10 mins (cooling down?).
After using this forum, again!, I have managed to narrow it down to the crankshaft position sensor, thanks peeps for the helpfull diy guides!.
I confirmed it was the sensor with my much unused OBD software and my Ebay OBD adapter. Bought the sensor for £24 at Yapps, Cardiff and fitted it in 1/2 hour in the freezing cold- ie 1st Jan...It must be a very common fault as the connecting lead now connects to a socket right on the sensor.
Anyway happy new year and thanks, I'm so chuffed, I've donated a few quid to the Fiat Forum!!!
