Hey guys I have a mk2. On a 02 plate 1.2 8v
Iv recently done the timing belt and serviced the car but now
Is jumpy (kangarooing) when I change gear at low revs
Worse when it's started from cold what would be the cause of this please help
Cost me enough as it is and don't have funds to keep putting into it

Yes to sparks plugs but no to ht leads mate
And I never did the timing my self I let some else do it and it's not been right ever since

Did the service include Spark plugs and HT leads?

Did the timing marks realign when you turned it by hand twice?

ziggy
I didn't do it mate a garage did and I changed everything iv been told it could be clutch slipping

Unlikely to be clutch slipping.

Dog bone will usually cause judder (and often clonking) on upchanges, especially at low speed.

If 8v, easy to check and sort the timing.

If EML light on, get the codes read.

There is no eml light on was in when car was first done but now it's turned it's self off.. There is no clunking from gear box just a whizzing sound like thrust bearing is on it's way but only heard in first gear

ive yet to succesfully remove ht leads on a punt ho that have been on for over a year and not damage them internally to the point if refitted the car would possibly kangaroo under load

Shall I just change the ht leads then guys I really appreciate you help and advice ?
