Technical Jumping whilst driving

Hi, wondering if anyone can help me, ive got a P reg fiat cinquecento and ive had a problem for a while where there is a small injector light that comes on which is next to the lights icon and when it comes on the car jumps or totally loses power for a couple seconds then kicks back in or it will shudder for a second, I have had all spark plugs changed and vaccume pipes, fuel injector, catalyc converter cleaner put through but because it hasnt broke we are struggling to find the issue.

Just wondering if anoyone has had this problem and can suggest or know what it is i can do?

Best thing to do would be to get the codes read. The light is an Engine Management Light (EML) and lights when the ECU detects a fault, the ECU records these faults by means of codes. I'm not sure what software is out there for reading the codes on these cars, and what additional cabling may be required so I will leave that to the rest of the guys who are more familiar to advise.

Also, where in the country are you as there may be someone local who is able to assist?

I am in exeter in devon, yeah as the car is 19 years old now its hard to get parts and the garage is limited on what they can do with it i think, but thank you!

Does sound like a misfire.
Parts should be easy from a specialist: eurocarcare.ner, Shop4Parts, Unto.pl.
Code read is only possible with FIAT Examiner (dealer only, and only the older dealers will still have it) or IAW Scan2 (need laptop, leads, but the software is free).

I'd be inclined to look at the ignition leads first (they're cheap!) then the coil packs. All the other things you've done are unlikely fixes.

I'm pretty sure I've had the ignition leads replaced so maybe coil pack is the next option, it would be much more help if it had broke as then it wouldn't be so much trial and error with it! Thanks tho

i think it could be your fuel pump or the filter on the end of it is blocked
