Well after yesterday morning my car has now devoloped a flat spot from about 3,000 rpm pretty much all the way to the read line. Its almost like somethings strangling it. Yes i have driven through a flood which was far deeper than i thought and have the soaking wet carpets to prove it. Now it was deep enought that the bow wave was over the headlights and i was very lucky as i got all through the flood and put my foot down and donk we stop with low oil pressure going bing bing. Oh hell i thought, as i went to start her and donk again, 2nd time donk, well 3rd time turns overs and starts. Yippe and gets to work and lunchtime drain a load of water out the airbox.

Now the clutch is also started to judder on take off after being drowned in the flood yesterday morning and will it stop juddering or have i nackered it.

Now i dont think i bent anything when she stopped so the flat spot might be just the air filter being soaking wet, but the clutch might be more of a problem. Im quite impressed with my car and that jtd engine(y) as a work mate drove through the same flood in his volvo and stopped half way through and had to strip all the air box, intercooler etc, take glow plugs out and allsorts to get his car going.

So what are your thoughts about any lasting damage please.:worship:

Flat spot is probably due to wet overboost valve. Search for Overboost Valve threads.

Clutch should dry out and scrape any rust off the surfaces fairly quickly and be back top normal within a few short trips.

Yep i guess it did, I had forgotton about this post lol, Still have these flats spots though even with new air filter.
Still revs to past red line, but just theres a couple of places in the rev range that have these spots where its like it doesnt accelerate for a split second and then it does but feels like it being strangled.

Any ideas as fuel consumption is still the same and it still goes ok.
