Right,

Owned my stilo for eight years and dealt with lots of problems down the road.

Without warning, the power steering died last night.

I can get a replacement from ebay, but that will take time and I need the car pdq.

Couple of questions:

1). Has anyone got one they want to sell, today. Preferably stripped off the car ?

2). Are you in easy travel distance of Hertford, Herts ?

3). How does the steering wheel airbag come off ?

4). Can the ignition key unit be stripped from the motor

5). If I swap the mpoer steering motor, is it plug and play, or does it have to be coded etc ... yada yada.

Don't be shy, get in there and help me out !!

3).

3). Three screws (Torx I think) in the back of the steering wheel. Two connectors on the airbag, both connectors have locking clips that need to be opened before removing the connectors.

4). Yes, it's attached to the column, not the motor.

5). If you're only changing the motor, it's not coded. If you're changing the complete unit, including the ECU, then it may need the proxy alignment procedure carrying out.
