General JTD Oil Consumption?

How much oil does your JTD consume? What is normal oil cousumption over say 5000 miles? Thanks.

Not a lot. I can't say exactly how much, but in the 12000 miles between services the oil level falls from full on the on-board computer to 2/3 or 3/4 full. Mine is a JTD115 with 33000 on the clock. It has a fair mix of short and long journeys and is generally driven briskly, but rarely hard - typically change points around 3000rpm.
