Java problem.

I have a brand new Sony Vaio VGN-AR61S with Vista Home Premium as my OS. However no Java website works. I have uninstalled Java and reinstalled it countless times yet it does not run. It is enabled in the security section yet it never seems to launch when you try to run it on a website.

Any ideas?
