Technical I've fixed my leaking sunroof

hi all just got my 04 2 weeks ago, but to my dismay found the rear sunroof leaking (water coming though the motor access panel) when i looked at the seals i found it split on the outside were it is bonded to it self stupid to put a joint on the tightest part of the curve so i filled the gap with gutter and down pipe sealant and after the rain Tues & Wednesday, HOORAY NO WATER IN ROOF LINING !!!

I've had leaking sunroofs for a while now and i'm thinking of going down the sealant route. I've used the Captain Tolley stuff that people have suggested but still leaks in certain conditions (don't know exactly what those conditions are, seems random)
I was thinking of using clear instead of black. Have you got any photo's of what yours looks like now?
