......bought a 100hp.....

Ive been very, very happy with the mjet since last June, but there was always a nagging feeling that I went for the wrong one.

Anyway, I test drove a red 100hp a few weeks back and was smitten, so I took the plunge. Its a '57 plate with the Pandamonium pack, done just over 4k miles from new.

Quite a different driving experience to the mjet, but to be honest I'm still getting the feel for it at the moment and I love the 'sport' button.......

Just one question, whats that black box underneath the drivers seat?????

Thats brill, just been outside and tried it - what a sound

I had no idea it was on the car, so I'm chuffed to bits about that, feels like Ive got something extra for free!

Cant wait to go to work in the morning

Oh yes!

Looks good and well done on the plunge, you will love it (y)

Lots of new 100hp owners popping up :)

The sub is part of the Pandamonium pack I believe

Nice, hope you got a good price! If i was going to buy one now, i think i'd fork out the extra dosh for a new one at a tickle over £7000. I know it's money lost but it's still cheap imo! I always thought the Pandamonium alloys look like dirty standard ones!

You'll love it!....Just watch those Alloys on the kerbs, they are very easy to scrape! :bang:

Very! :bang:

Fortunately the one I scraped got replaced when I had my falling out with the kerb

Watching very carefully parking it now, so far I have 4 alloys without a kerb mark (touch wood), for now...

Are you copying me?

I had an MJ but couldn't live with it so got a red 100hp (58 plate) with the subwoofer upgrade back in September.

I found setting the EQ to 'rock' really gets the subwoofer going. It really does add some depth to the sound. (y)

Enjoy.

Not intentionally, but we cant help having the same good sense of taste ;)

I'll try that with the subwoofer though, thanks for the tip.

In terms of the actual drive I cant beleive the difference in the two cars to be honest. I was very happy with the mjet, but the 100hp seems to be in a different class - it feels so much more 'planted' and stable.

I also love all the gadgets like automatic door locking and stuff.....Just need to get a couple of small niggling dashboard rattles sorted now.

I'm trying very hard to resist the sport button at the moment (to maintain a bit of fuel economy) but its quite a challenge.....

Thanks for all the replies folks - much appreciated (y)

In all honesty I think you'll find you just leave the Sport button on all the time, this is what i've ended up doing.

I know it is a bit of a shock at first seeing 35mpg on the trip meter when it used to 55 or so with the MJ, but once you get over that it's not too bad really. The Sport button shouldn't really make too much difference to the MPG, though I admit I only ever tried turning it off a couple of times.. felt horrible. No point getting too hung up on fuel economy, just enjoy it. (y)

Certainly agree on the 100hp feeling more planted, it's nice not to have the body roll you get with teh MJ.

You'll love the climate control as all you have to do is set the temperature and everything else is taken care of automatically even when it's not in auto mode (ie aircon off). Brilliant. (y)

Bluetooth is very handy too.

I actually do the opposite tbh....I drive it with SPORT off most of the time now....The engine feels so much snappier than when it was new and I'd rather have those extra few mpg....Plus SPORT in town traffic can get get a bit annoying....

Pah - Sport mode should always be on ;) Btw, economy starts to improve significantly the more miles you get on the car :D
