My renewal is up next month tesco my current company are offering 657 on my 85 elx, This is with a 250 quid young driver excess cos im 22, and no claims discount protection (without it it would be about 540) I have 5 years no claims, But two accidents on record first was my fault but cost my insurance company zip second i was hit by someone else. Also have a caution for speeding, but don't dont think that counts, Is that a decent price? i was expecting it be a bit less this year.

I always use moneysupermarket.co.uk. i now pay £250 tpft but i have a clear record.

Well Just tried directline who offered £579 with all the boxes ticked, So £0 voluntary excess (although that bloody £250 young driver one still applies) NCB protection, Legal cover and a guaranteed hire car, also i forgot to mention last night im shopping for fully comp not 3rd party.

Directline is looking like the best deal I can get there are some cheaper but they miss out on things like courtesy cars, and legal protection or NCB protection, Also directline has a zero excess on vandalism and uninsured driver claims and as parking at my girlfriends house is like parking in a warzone (it's been damaged twice this year already) that really appeals, anyone know what the fiat forum excesses are without me having to phone up?

When I spoke to Chris Knott, I was told to confirm the competitor quotes excesses before they will price match (however, I've heard that the price match and 10% off only applies if you are 25+)

My girlfriend just turned 20, wrote off a C2 and had 2 other crashes in her Polo, only been driving for 2 years... just under £700.

Would recommend Direct Line, and highly recommend Norwich Union Direct!

Hmm in that case i'll prolly give them a phone, its not expired till 4th feb so just shopping ATM. Also at Danny B the joys of being female apparently! 5years of driving, 5 years NCB, and no write offs or accidents that cost an insurance money and im still paying near 600 quid on a 1.2!...albeit one in group 7
