ok im looking at having some work done to my bravo in the next few weeks and after lots of looking around i have found my 1.8hlx needs a little work but i will never make it a real quick car unless i put in more than i really wont to
i know it sounds cheap but as a lot of you people have said you may as well buy a faster car then make it even faster lol
so im going to help my car out with its pull away and thats it really
so im thinking that i will have the following done

Viper induction kit
Echo tech valve
exhaust
(any good makes that you can recomend on the exhaust would be great please)

Lowered by 40mm
(I have found an appex kit with 4 springs and 4 gas
shocks but it will take it down 30mm only)

as for the exhaust im not certain if i should have the decat pipe i think if i did i know my car wil shift more than ever as im almost certain thats the reason all of my 1.8 113bhp power is being zaped the stupid cat
any ideas or thoughts let me know

Get rid of the cat immediately. Whatever you do to your car, if you do not move exhaust restriction then you are waisting money.

You have got no idea how restrictive the cat is. Just have a look inside one of them....its like trying to fart with a corkscrew up your ass.

...and yes, thats one of the main reason why my 1.6 pisses on 1.8's....not to mention HGT's.

And if you want to kick ass from the lights dont bother with rims bigger than 15".

i was going to stick to 15" rims as i dont wont to lose my turning cycle as i need it i dont like raceing on straight roads like dual carridge ways or motors ways any **** can do that im from essex and love raceing around the back roads its more fun and can get a bit hairy some times which adds to the enjoyment
i was just going to have 15/195 instead of the 15/185
for the wheels
and as for the CAT its a goner i think in the long run its got to be cheaper to pay sombody to re-fit the CAT for the MOT each year than use the crapie thing

Removing the cat is very harmful to the enviroment. You should never remove the cat as it is there for a purpose. Try installing a free flow cat. Most of the air restrictions are lost with one of those.

A small car without a cat is still not as bad for the environment as some 5ltr 4x4 used to drive the kids 5 mins to and from school.

LOL!! I just HATE this whole 'I got a 4x4 cos they are safe' thing. When I drive my MG, my head is at bumper level on those things. If I get hit I'm dead!

First it was Range Rovers, then Jeeps, now BMW, Merc, Porche, VW, Volvo etc.. have all jumped on the bloody band wagon. They should be illegal in town.

The current spate of school runs should be made fekkin illegal. The "It's just not safe for your kids to walk to school" argument is utter dross. The only reason it "seems" that it is more dangerous is because this sort of thing is so much more widely reported in the media these days. It's always happened and (much as it trily saddens me) will continue to happen.

The parents who band together and take it in turns to take several kids to the same school at one time I have no particular problem with but to see every single kid arriving in their own personal 4x4/people van is ludicrous. I live right next to a school and if I come home at the wrong time I cant even get into my road far less get a parking space!

I think it's time to tax all parents who drive 4x4's and only take 1 or 2 kids in £10 to park in my street. Maybe then they'll see sense and by 'em a bloody pushbike!
