Looks like a right mess. I know its Lreg (must be one of the first around) but I've seen a lot better for similar money (£500-700).

I think it IS just a SX but badged up. I would also be wary of that 75badge, that might be unoriginal too.

I would just steer well clear, not worth the risk (nothing wrong with older models, just I don't like the sellers attitude).
 
just been on rac vehicle data search and YES it is a elx i dunno how though because like you said there isnt even a switch for the front fogs
 
I'd be more concerned that the damage to the lock is obviously where someone has used a screwdriver to break in - could be stolen!
 
I think it may be an S, because it must have 1 switch for rear fog lamps and another for the heated windscreen so wheres the 3rd. The buttons also seems to be in diferent layouts, if you look at different Puntos on eBAy the buttons are all set out differently over the 5 buttons. But it has the nice velour seats from an ELX and the badges.

EDIT: didnt the ELX have read headrest?
