is it worth it?

i currently have a brava s with the shitty black plastic bumpers - is it worth getting them sprayed? that car is an unusual graphite , ive been quoted £120 for each bumper including the primeing .. is that good? any suggestions on what i should do?

DIY!!!! Remove your bumpers, wipe them down with meths then prime and assuming you can get that colour in spray. spray them yourself. A few people on here have done it and aint read any come backs in the forum!

You would be better off seeing if you can find some already done in a breakers (I know it is difficult as the car is probably there due to a smash anyway!).

Reason is the bumpers on yours are not smooth liek they are on the other versions and the colour may be dulled by it as it will not reflect in the same way.

It may also be cheaper than getting them sprayed!

I've tried spraying them and manage to balls them right up. Could be worth the £120.

Again, I'd say get it done properly. Also, they must use plastic primer, otherwise it'll start flaking off after some time. Once it is done, don't use a pressure washer too closely on the bumpers - keep it at a distance. £120 a bumper seems about right, as long as they do a high quality job - no overspray etc. Ideally they should remove the bumpers, spray them and then refit.
