Did anybody hear about that cheap Chinese clone of the Panda made by Great Wall Perry? It was identical in almost every way with slight changes to the bumpers/lights etc. Fiat sued them and banned them from selling it in Europe (not that it would outsell the Panda!)

Cheeky buggers, i thought Fiat had sold them the design when i first saw it, turns out it was just a cheap copy!

Japan - taking European styling ideas nearly half a decade old, just as it has done since the 1980s... guarantee you the Note is boring as hell to drive, though.

Well that cheeky GWPeri copy has Nissan Note rear lights and a couple of other Note-ish cues. Me thinks these hard-faced gets swiped a Panda and a Note, mixed in some, ahem, aphrodisiac of some sort and this b*stard child of the Panda and Note was born..solved:D

There's been much talk elsewhere in here of the Great Wall Peri, Panda and the Nissan Note. I think the outside of the Peri looks more 'Note' like than Panda, especially at the front, but the interior is a pure Panda copy in cheaper plastics. The real Note is, I think, slightly larger than the Panda (and related to the Renualt Modus, maybe -- Renault has part-share in Nissan), but I too have mistaken the Nissan for the Fiat at a quick glance

There's another little car out there from Kia or Hyundi that also looks very Panda-like from some angles... can't remember the model though

I keep doing that! The higher spec Micras which look mildly better are the ones I keep mistaking for 500s at a distance. Then again, I do need new glasses...
I cannot even begin to express my hate for Nissan Micras. Truly gash.

Theres a display in the metrocentre of new small cars has a swift, a clio campus, a 500 and new micra on it....and I agree the micra and 500 are suspiciously similar although as micra is older its fiat that did the cribbing...

Although the more I see 500s the more I dislike the back end the front is well styled if as aggressive as a teddy bear in a tutu, with a bow, eating candy floss while knitting...but the rear 3/4 is :yuck:

Panda FTW...at least it is what it appears to be and is very smart in the higher trim levels.

I'm always reminded of snoopy when I see an old micra, particularly in white ??

The Hyundai Matrix looks a bit like the Panda with the small rear quarter windows. (only a little, thank god!) Don't think there's many more that look like the panda. As for the swift, that looks like a Mini at a glance, especially with bonnet stripes and a white roof!

I'd be tempted to say that Nissan copied the original 500 with the K12 Micra - I mean, they are the company that made the Figaro which was specifically meant to "evoke 1950s Fiats"...

I have always thought that if Volvo made a small car it would look very like the Panda - something to do with the shoulder line.

A guy at work asked me the other week if I had a smart car :bang:

He obviously has no idea and probably needs some very strong prescription glasses, lol ;)
