ive got my eye on a 2.4 schumacher edition but before i buy it i'd like to know what tuning options are available

Depends how much money you have got to spend and how far you are willing to go. But either way, 200hp would be possible!

what companies supply the parts needed ? i would prefer to stay NA

Well, the 2.4 puts out 170bhp standard, so a decent remap say from angel tuning should get you to 187bhp on its own. However, if you do a tiny bit more work first, say GSR induction kit, de-cat with a hayward&scott exhaust system inc manifold and then a remap your going to be very close to 200. If your not quite their, then change the cams. With all that, youll easily do 200bhp!

i just need some infoto cut to the long and short of it, ive been saving for quite a while and i wanted something along the lines of an rx8, 350z ect but just as i have enough money my wife tells me the family is getting bigger
so i have to look at something more practical and the stilo is the only car i like the look of (and ive look at loads) and as the stilo is a lot cheaper than what i had planned on buy i now have some spare cash to improve thing as i still want something fun to drive and that puts a smile on my face fastfu

Sure can... www.angeltuning.co.uk for the remap. Speak to a memeber on here called "oldschool" about the GSR induction kit as I believe he sells them. (i think he also can get hold of the cams although cant quite remember)

i hope so but my last 4 car were a subaru impreza sti, 300hp 200sx, honda integra type r and a civic turbo so it has a lot to live up to but i suppose with this car i want something a bit more civilised than the last lot
Ah...i curently have an impreza STi, my stilo is running the standard 170bhp so obv its quite off the pace of the impreza, and the handleings not quite as good either, but then again its not awd! But it will still leave you smiling!! AND it wont keep the new baby awake!! lol

Hi there Fastfu .noticed you have registered on our performances site
GSR induction and remap with the same company saw 205 bhp on abarths at rolling road day they now have completed an exhaust for the 2.4 which gives a massive gain just on its own but would obviously benefit from the other mods and mapping as well for the best gain ..gsr do not recommend any other companies mapping with their induction kits and only recommend a partner company for the best gain.. this will be done on a rolling road and your car will be tested on one to prove that you have got the gain that is claimed .. hope that helps

Fastfu.....from Performancestilo there is a rolling road day at Red Dot in Watford Hertfordshire where GSR could remap your stilo for you. don't know where abouts you live though so may be no good for you!
The rolooing road/mapping day is on Sunday the 25th.
Anyone who has got time and just wants to see what we are doing there is invited to come as a spectator and if you wish to have the car on the day on the rollers or mapped or at a later time it all can be arranged.

Like PNL said & i can verify this for him at a Rolling Road day at the beginning of last year we saw a Schuee hit 205/210BHP from GSR ReMap n Induction (Even if Red did chop it a bit).
Well worth having a look, been out in the 205bhp Schuee and its bloody quick!
