Not sure if anyone can help me as I've searched the web and this forum for an answer to a problem no one else seems to have.

I just got the Fiat 500 1.2 Lounge (lovely car!!!) and have tried to connect the 4 iPods we have in our household. All of them say "Do not disconnect" when using either the iPod cable I bought from Fiat or the one that came with the iPods. But no device comes up in the Blue&Me system.

I have left them connected for hours, but still the same message. All iPods have ordinary mp3 files on them, in fact, the same files copied directly from the iTunes folder to a flash drive work perfectly well.

iPods are various generations and types. The latest being the last Nano before Apple widened it.

Anyone out there have this problem? Anyone sorted it?

Any help appreciated,

Dave

Hi Dave, I am sure the ipod crew will correct me (I am a DET) but alot of the problems we found was customers using the ipod software to load the songs on. My finance guy who is a bit of a nerd tells me that the easiest way to make the ipod work is to use it like a hard drive and load it manually.

I'm in exactly the same boat!
I too have just bought a beautiful 1.2 lounge 500, and my ipod (30g) hangs on the do not disconnect thing. All mp3 files. It does seem to play some tracks in a random order, but i have no menu etc. I too use itunes - thought there wasn't another option! Other mp3 players I've had worked as an ordinary drive on the pc, so you could just drag and drop albums onto the player - can i do this with the ipod, and if so, will i have to delete all my current library and start from scratch with the drag and drop option? If i can't fix this, i'll have to go down the usb stick route, but will lose my audible books as well.

Pleeeaaase Help:confused:
