Ipod Options? What do you have?

I have just got the £120approx ipod kit fitted to our new 500's, 'from the dealer' this allowed you to change tracks via the steeering wheel and also charge the ipod, fine.

We have a problem in that you cant select tracks with ease and there is no display on the stereo display panel. MP4 to MP3 how?

What are we doing wrong, has anybody else conquered this?

Also;

Did anybody buy the ipod holder and lead from the dealer, we wanted this and were put off it to buy the more expensive option, i dont think it works that well and want to know if you all feel this works better?

I don't have an IPod, but a Sansa MP3 player. That works fine. Displays tracks on the speedo screen. Moves through tacks easily. Charges fine. Just sometimes takes a little time to load up to the car.

Thanks, but trying to get help for the ipod, i might just have to get a usb stick however all my songs are on the ipod and it would be nice to have the choice.

There must be someone who has the other ipod option, i wondering if thst is more user friendly.
