Hi Everyone,
We have a Fiat 500 1.3 DTG with115000 miles on the clock. The Blue&Me module hasn't worked for some time! ie flashing mileage and no bluetooth.
I suspected a parasitic drain, but because the car was commuting 70 miles daily the battery was always being sufficiently re-charged. However, my wife has recently retired, the car now seeing much less usage. The car was recently left for 1 week without use. The battery is completely dead!
My question is, is there a way of completely isolating the B&M module without having to remove the rear quarter? Is there a fuse removal that would isolate its power supply?
We intend to sell the car at some point soon as a diesel isn't ideal for short, stop/ start trips. Any advice would be very much appreciated!

To clarify, how can I stop the parasitic drain caused by the faulty blue&me module? I understand I have to disconnect the module connector, followed by a proxy Alignment to fix flashing mileage. Is this the only solution? (I now realise I can’t remove associated fuses F51 & F36 as they are used by other circuits).
Perhaps install a battery isolator switch?
Help! 🙁

What do you think of the battery isolator as an interim fix?
When you disconnect the battery you kill the memory of all the modules in the car, this can mean the car runs a default engine program for the ECU on start up and as a result you’ll see higher fuel use, the car will tend to run more rich until the ECU relearns and adapts the settings for the engine ECU

Pull the trim panel just enough to get to disconnect it, don't bother removing it.
Either get the flashing mileage proxi aligned or leave it and explain to next customer
