General iPod hiding Ideas

I need your help and brain power:

I'm looking at the GP interior trying to find a convenient yet cool place to build in an ipod dock that I could fit my ipod into and iPhone (not at the same time).

Ideas?

Its sounds sad but I would love to be able to just docking straight into the dash. Maybe one of the cup holders would do the trick.

Mine lives in the glovebox, but I've seen iPod/iPhone holders designed to go into cup-holders.

Shame the cup-holders on the GP are in such a rubbish place.

I have the earlier version of B&M but I am going to replace the Headunit with an Alpine iDA-X305.

I'd thought about getting a dock built into the twin cup holder at the front of the gearstick. The cable already comes down behind the dash so it should be easy enough to run it through.

I use the Fiat iPod holder (part no. 50901703), which is an adjustable iPod (or mobile phone) holder fixed to a base which is designed to fit in the cupholder in front of the gear lever. This Fiat part is shown on Fiat's website as an accessory for the 500, but it's designed to fit in the cupholder of other Fiat models, including the Grande Punto.

Mine cost me less than £20 from my local Fiat dealer.

This looks like a very neat solution - the iPod goes inside! - was mentioned in Max Power last month. My only problem is although I have over 30gb of music on my computer I don't actually have an iPod yet!

Just a thought since you are probably happy with the standard stereo...
