2008 90,000 mile fsh DOBLO 1.9 JTD throttle just ranaway to 5,000 rpm whilst changing gear. Just an instantaneous blip whilst off accelerator.
500 miles previous ranaway to 3000rpm whilst in gear, accelerating away from lights in outside lane, BMW (in 30 limit) thought I was racing him, nearly collected BMW and bollard - frirgtening lasted 3 or 4 very long seconds.
1000 miles previous ranaway to 1500 rpm lasted 1 or 2 seconds. whilst accelerating in gear.
2000 miles previous ran away to 1300rpm lasted 1 or 2 seconds. Out of gear.
Checked carpets!
Roadside Diagnostic by roadside mechanic showed no other faults -
vehicle had gone into limp mode due to clogged EGR
Garage Diagnostic showed no other faults,
had engine remapped to eliminate Engine management light
the 5000 rpm instantaneous runaway throttle occurred within ten miles after second Diagnostic.
Any ideas please - this is very alarming
Otherwise vehicle runs well, is economical, am loathe to spend any more money
any ideas however far fetched what to check for next?
Air leaks?
electronic interference with ECU
Carbon build up causing throttle to stick somehow?
Need a solution soon or this vehicle has to be scrapped
Already spent over £1,000 in garage bills -
