Has anyone changed gear knob? if so, its easy to remove the old one?
or speakers and tweeters? if so, what was the result? i think factory speakers are mediocre. Of course im not a fan of loud music, but when i hear, i want to hear quality sound.
or fitted armrest? does it give good support? is it useful?

any other changes you may did, please feel free to tell.

Im doing few changes, so to give myself a better driving experience..

Hi Qubist & Fiorinoist,

Arm rest is about right for me, elbow sits on it nice and easy, because of my arthritis I can no longer operate the normal hand brake, so have a T bar aid fitted, the arm rest is brilliant for using that. As for speakers, my original fit are fine, though the car is not noisey, with its normal noise and road noise have my doubts if I would hear any difference with more expensive speakers. Radio spends most of its time on Classic FM, unless the family are with me then its either Smooth or a CD.

Have fun, Qube O......

I love my arm rest. Don't think I'd be able to drive my memo without it. I want to upgrade the speakers in my van as like you say the factory speakers are mediocre, they lack a lot of mid range. It's even more noticeable since I fitted a 12in sub in the back. You can get adapters to fit larger speakers in the doors which I will do once I've soundproofed the inside of the doors and the footwells.

Standard system is a bit drab, lacks any punch, clarity, or depth of bass, front door speakers and tweeters are not that bad, bought two sets of speakers to change front door units, but didnt like the change, so left standard ones in place.
Fitted rear subwoofer, excellent addition, I fitted it to take speaker output level, and also fit detachable connections when you want to carry a big load.
Tried and tried to like the standard stereo, with all blue and me functions, then had enough.
Fitted an alpine head unit, makes a BIG difference, more clarity, and bass power, and can take the blue and me phone audio as a separate input (rear) , added an adaptor CTSFA006 so I could use the steering wheel controls. Pretty good so far but lacking "something", like some midrange?, then I added some FLI FI69 6X9 speakers to my parcel shelf with detachable connections, I detached the original tiny rear speakers and used those connections, the stereo has enough power to drive the 6x9's.
Now to me, it sounds VERY nice, well balanced, deep bass, and very clear with nice treble (the standard Fiat tweeters are not too bad) but then it depends on what music you like? . Took me months to do, but now happy with it.
:)
