Personally I rate Bilstein as I had them on my old Audi quattro & the rebound rate was fantastic!(y) They're what I want to get for the stilo. I have heard koni are excellent as well although I've never used them! The Bilstein streetline kit also comes with Eibach springs.(y)

Thanks Pete for clarifying :D Alex gave me the rundown on his mix'n'match setup last night, certainly interesting :chin: I think I'm going to go for the Apex kit, have heard good things about it both on here and CWC and I honestly think the Koni kit would be too uncomfortable and too fancy for what I need. So I'm off to see my mate at motorworld and see what he can do for me ;)

apex is a great kit for the money

had in in my sei -30mm drop looked like alot more :D

the ride wasnt so harsh your teeth were still chattering 5 mins after getting out the car, but firm enough to make you know you was closer to the ground

if motorworld cant do you try www.motorsportworld.co.uk , great company, fast delivery

Forgot yours was the 1.2 16v. I dont think its a problem of the part not fitting.. I think even one of my Tipo struts would fit.. The problem is that the damping would not be the same as OEM. If you fitted a 1.4 strut to yours I think the ride would be a bit rougher.

There may also be grip changes which is why I would not reccomend fitting a incorectly pressurised strut to a car.

Hmmm it's all down to that old chestnut again, more money will mean more R&D going into the product, better ease of use and much better build quality.

Example, Eibach springs for a the Cinw are £140, Gmax and other are much cheaper, some sub £100, but they don't come with a six year guarantee!

I would get the best that you could afford TBH, with adjustable damping it is good to adjust them to a stiffer setting to take corners faster but over poor surfaces it is a bit teeth shattering. Adjust them to the softest setting and the ride is better but cornering speeds get lower, it's a whole issue you have to weigh up yourself.

Coilovers are cool but only if you are going to use the options they provide alot and not just adjust them every year or so. IMO they need to be dampenign adjustable as well as height to be any use.

Good luck with the purchase.

Hi Helz

been a lurker for a while now and have finally signed up.

just to let yiou know that i have a bravo 80 sx and also have the apex kit and think you should be very happy with it, i know i am. the ride is a bit harder but thats to be expected.

just as a note, i have come to find that most products for the 1.4 and 1.6 are interchangeable with the 1.2, like suspension, unless they have a direct fitment on offer.
