You'd be as well not insuring it at all then I guess, in fact why not forge your number plates too while you're at it

that would be useful for stealing petrol. but i dont steal, i just want to live a good quality life as cheaply as possible.
bet everyone thinks i sound like a right chav.

soo... not prepared / cant afford / wont pay for proper insurance but is prepared/ can afford / will pay for a new car if the current is stupidly written off and insurance is invalid and wont cover?

That makes sense loads

thats because bieng young insurance will go up more than the value of a car.
and also when i said "new car" i meant somthing new to me. like a seicento, you can get them in good condition under £500.

heres the gift of experience
when you have a bump, even in a 100% legal car you have that doubt nagging at you that maybe something isnt right
you want to be 100% legit
for example i was away visiting friends and a car came round a bend on the wrong side of the road
i swerved and clipped a ditch, after rolling a fair few times it came to rest on its roof
got car collected etc and insurance dropped me a hire car at my frieds
driving home in the hire car, another car pulls out of a junction and i end up T boning them
now if my cover was reneged due to non decleration, what would that lot have added up to?

If you want cheap insurance, do what I did and don't learn to drive until you're 26. Otherwise deal with it, it's not like high costs for young drivers are a new thing...

true, but if your as poor as me and want to drive everywhere. you wont go far looking at it like that.

so that extra £500 your 'saving' on insurance by falsifying your insurance policy is kept aside for a new old car if something such as an accident might occur.

right-o then

Hopefully the OP will see how much sense your suggestions dont make.

God help anyone uninsured/ void insurance who hit my car, you'd be taken to court for every last penny until you had nothing left but your underpants, then strung up by your balls until you were squeaking an apology. Out of interest, how would you pay off the £18k for me to get a new car, plus hire car costs to keep me on the road? Hope those driving illegally have thought about it....

Dont steal?? you are stealing from your insurance company right now man!

F*** you about??? You will see how much they can f*** you about if someone makes a claim against you. They will investigate your circumstances then when they find out you have lied to them come after you for the 3rd party costs they have had to pay out . The total could be hundreds of thousands of pounds and you would be paying them back for the rest of your working life you senseless immature fool.

tips:
- You could try going on multicar with parents as i am about to do.
- Use GoCompare, was always fast to put in new quotes.
- third party, fire and theft always cheapest for some reason.
- Tell them your in full time education. e.g uni/college but living at home.
- try different addresses and always say that the car is on drive/garaged.
- always put at least 1 experienced older driver who hasnt claimed. (parents preferably)
Any young drivers out there with good driving records but still paying big premiums, now you know why the insurance companies make you pay a lot for your cover.

Peter, you need to get in the big picture son, all you are thinking about is the value of your car. Well consider this.....you hit a family hatch one afternoon and despite your intention never to have an accident its your fault. Husband, wife, 2 kids on the way back from a day out. The husband is killed and the wife/2 kids spend a month in intensive care, wife and one child recovers, other child has to spend the rest of its life in a wheelchair eating every meal through a straw.

My questions to you are...
A) How much would all this cost,
B) Who will meet the cost.

.....over to you (y)

If you can't afford to drive then you shouldn't be driving you ignorant little boy.

Calling you a :tosser: doesn't even come close to what people like you are. Makes me sick.

Hit me and find out your insurance won't cover you and it won't be them f*****g you over, it'll be people I know!

(rant over)

:yeahthat:

Not to mention covering the costs of injurys!

funny how 'peter keys' is no longer trying to defend his actions now that more than one person has told him he is wrong. Doubt it will change his actions but thankfully the OP will have a better rounded insight into the bad side of 'cheap' insurance.

just read the latest on the forum. sounds like everyone else here was gifted with money from an early age.

No, if you can't afford to do something properly, don't do it - simples.

If you're any age, never mind just youngsters, and can't afford to insure a car, let alone run it, tax it, repair it, etc etc etc then you should be walking/taking the bus.
