Insurance companies!!!

Now there's a minefield!!

One that doesn't try to avoid payment or make life difficult when claiming I suppose.

I know, that's why I asked. ;)

You'd hope not many of us would know about that aspect. :p

I'm sure Most Easterly Pandas will recommend Aviva. And I would do for the cheap insurance they've just done me. :D

:ROFLMAO:

They all do that (even Aviva)

These days I look at what they offer admiral penny pinch to the extreme so use crap body shops, and cheap parts.
They use national windscreens for glass repairs who are a bunch of cowboys and charge higher excesses and premiums for glass, protected NCD etc

Other companies use recognised brands like autoglass use genuine new parts and don't have their call centres manned by barely evolved dribbling fools (although new customers are always greeted by competent staff)

So I now tend to stick to the reputable companies or good brokers who offer a package and not just a price, so Aviva, Direct line, I've found the AA in the past to be very good like I say shop around for the package

Worth having a look at the Defaqto website for ratings which give very good impartial ratings. :)

Also worth checking who underwrites different companies, or if they underwrite their own products.

I have found that a lot of the budget insurances are bisl. The rac one I had was. It was only when I googled it to find out what the direct debit was for that I found out how many they do. The vast majority I'd never heard of
