Hi I have a 2009 Ducato X250 3.0 based motorhome I have a problem were I have no speedo or rev counter or temp gauge working the cluster has been checked out by cartronix and is ok so iam trying to trace the wires from the instrument cluster connector back over Anybody any idea at what wires feed what Otherwise it's trying to source a good auto electrician Many Thanks in advance

eLearn for the X250 series is available in the downloads section. If it is similar, as I would expect, to that for the x244, it will contain wiring diagrams complete with colour codes, and pin allocations.

I should point out that the wiring colour codes are italian rather than english abbreviations. Translations of colour codes are available on the web.

The following may not apply to the x250, but on the x244 there is a fuse F11 in the engine bay fusebox. This fuse, labelled "Secondary services", supplies several functions including the instrument panel, and an oil vapour heater. The oil vapour heater can go short circuit, blow the fuse, and render the speedometer U/S. Quick fix is to locate and unplug the oil vapour heater.

Thanks I will have a look I have had all the connectors off the bottom of the fusebox and switch cleaned them So it now trying to trace what works what cheers

Does anyone know what each relay controls in the engine bay fusebox I can see what the fuses are for but I cant seem to find anything regarding relays

Perhaps the functions are given in the handbook, as they are for the x244, on the same or adjacent pages as fuses. They relay numbers and positions are in eLearn under the various functions, but eLearn is far from perfect, so use as a guide only.
