Hi

im having trouble installing the original Grand Theft Auto on my laptop which runs 64bit vista. i have downloaded the game directly from rockstar games, and can see people are using vista to play it, but i cant install it.

the installer unpacks everything into a destination folder of my choice, and when i run the GTAINSTALLER setup.exe, either as administrator or in compatability mode, or both, it doesnt do anything, nothing appears.

in the process list setup.exe*32 appears on clicking the abover, but just hangs there doing nothing. if you terminate the process vista warns me the software may not be installed properly (it isnt installed at all).

ive been going 32bit set up issues but nothing really applies or works

anyone any ideas?

There's even options to specify how many cpu clocks it receives so that the program doesn't run too fast to use.

I've got something similar on my new FIAT 500 to stop my right foot from selecting too many cpu cycles & setting off all the cameras - it's called the 'Speed Beep':D
