Hi
I had my clutch changed by Mr clutch a few months ago and since then the gearbox has been making a funny rattling noise, however this goes away when i depress the clutch leading me to think it was the Input shaft bearing? would this be correct? If so i assume this should have been replaced with the clutch. I have been back to them several times and they have just said "oh it needs adjusting" and as i am not the most techincially minded person i thought it might be true.

Any help would be much appreciated,

Rory

p.s. the clutch is still under warranty but i dunno if that means much when your dealing with people like this (sorry if anyone works at mr Clutch!!!)

It could be the first shaft, but it is more likely to be the release forks or bearing, is vibrating. Be polite ask to see the manager, tell him you only asked for the clutch to be repaired. You did not ask for a rattle. Inquire if the clutch on his car rattles.
You should have complained immediately, preferably while it was on their forecourt, before you took it away.

It is simple 'it should not rattle, does the managers clutch rattle?'
