My lad has a punto evo 1.2 8 valve 2010 which apart from the odd hiccup ( very close lightening strike ! ) and routine servicing, has been a very good little car.

several stickers on the car contain info about the car.....

boot i.d. plate has much info....

engine 169a 4000
version 199 bxz1a 51c etc..

is this car a 199 version please ??

sorry if its a dumb question, but if I dont know, well then I dont know, hence the question.

Hello,

the x199 is FIAT model coding. Most of the documentation refers to that number. All punto models since 2005 shared the same x199 code: the Punto, the Grande Punto and the Punto Evo. They were in fact rather faceliftings, not a new model.

Probably the VIN starts with ZFA199, too

By the way, forum ePER doesn't recognize VIN numbers containing "P" letter. What's up with that?
