Hi Peeps

Just after some general info for when we pick our 5dr abarth up on Saturday.

Sorry if any areas of this thread have been already covered.

Will I be able to access the phone with simcard straight away or will I have to register like someone has mentioned below?

and the same with sat nav. Do i need to register anything with anyone when i install the disks?

Does anyone know of anywhere I can get leather upholstery installed?

If you put the simcard you use in your mobile phone in the adapter then into the head unit it will work. The Connect side, the green button, won't work until you register your phone number with them. The sat nav will work straight away assuming a disk is inserted.

Caledonia motor group know of someone who will do a leather interior for you. Try calling Caledonia Fiat in Blackburn.

Hi Matrix,

Recently joined this forum, having bought a similar car to yours 3 months ago, on the hope of keeping up with all known faults, upgrades etc. Anyway would be interested to hear your opinion, and why you chose the 5 door (in my case it was my wife, and given that it is her car I couldn't argue, although I think the 3 door is MUCH better looking).

We bought the 5dr for practical reasons (children).

I really luv the car, but i luv the 3dr better.
I'm not sure if it would be a nightmare trying to get child in back seat with 3 dr.

What do u prefer??
Are u happy with yours??
Everyone always comments on the colour of ours (met scilla red) and the wheels (smoked alloys - i think, heehee).

I wanted 3dr better half wanted 5dr no prizes for guessing what we got. Any why the 5dr growing on me now .

I love my 5 door, light blue with the smoked alloys, lights on the inside of the door, cig lighter in the boot(daft place to have a smoke) leather,all whistles and flutes all working fine! added abarth stickers to wheels would like to tint my windows and upgrade my lights to ultra xenon, which Ring claim to give up to 60% more light, I will eventually get round to buying them both.

hi Bev,
oh I live just around the corner from Risley (Gorse Covert),you will find me there polishing my pride on joy most days (sad init).
Regarding the leather I did a deal with Caledonia Warrington when I picked up the car in May, I payed half which came to £400, so I'm sure you will be able to get your leather cheaper than £950, the only advise I can give, shop around and if thay give you a price of £950, flash a leg and ask if thay can do it any cheaper thats what I did ( I think thay just wonted me out of the showroom due to my big hairy legs)
